Child
Labor Laws
Virtually all children 17
years of age, and younger, employed by the entertainment industry must
have a valid work permit on file with the Alaska Division of Labor
Standards and Safety. Work permit applications and a synopsis of
Alaska's Child Labor Laws may be obtained from the Department of
Labor, Wage and Hour Administration Office.

Worker's Compensation
All employees must have current
Workers' Compensation insurance. This applies to full and part-time,
permanent, and temporary employees. Even those individuals who are
licensed or legally incorporated outside the state must be covered
by Workers' Compensation insurance valid in Alaska as well.

TAXES
Sales Tax
There is no state
sales tax in Alaska. However, some Alaska communities do impose a local
sales tax, which may typically range from 0 - 5%.
Income Tax
There is no state
income tax in Alaska.
